We had an absolutely amazing canyoning experience with Explore Messinia! The tour was not only incredibly beautiful, but also full of fun and adventure for both us and the kids. Fotis and his colleagues were fantastic guides, professional, kind, and full of energy. They made sure everyone felt safe and had a great time throughout the journey. We were blown away by the stunning nature, the refreshing water, and the overall sense of adventure. To top it all off, we ended the day with a delicious lunch together, which was the perfect way to relax and share the excitement of the day. Highly, highly recommended for families and anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Messinia in a truly unique and fun way. We’ll never forget it!

The company is excellent, they respond efficiently through the website and are very nice. The trip itself, guided by Potis, is an excellent experience. Potis is nice and interesting and makes sure that even those who are really out of shape can easily overcome the challenges that require effort.

The entire experience was incredibly rewarding and had an adventurous but safe and experienced vibe. From the beginning, we had to provisionally book the trip because there were not yet enough people signed up to meet the minimum number of participants. Within an hour of contacting Trifonas on trip advisor and Gmail, he had responded saying he would provisionally hold a spot for us on our trip date, meaning it would have just been cancelled had more people never signed up. When a larger group had signed up, he immediately reached out to us to let us know we were confirmed. The day before the trip, he sent us exact directions on where we would meet.(YOU MUST USE GOOGLE MAPS, other map services will direct you incorrectly) Before you get to the meeting point, make sure you have used the restroom in the last town about 20 minutes out as you will not have a great opportunity to go again once you are at the meeting point. We got to the meeting point (which was up a steep and windy mountain path and was really just a small gravel extension off the road into a trail) and they (Fortis and Panagiotis) were already there in his van. We sized up our climbing gear, then took the cars down to the end of the trail. There is a portion you'll have to back your car down to a spot. It may seem sketchy for drivers used to wide open American roads, but we handled this trail with ease in a very small Toyota Aygo placed into first gear. Getting back up the mountain was actually my only concern with the entire trip, but I felt like a fool when the Aygo climbed the mountain with zero issues. Still, I recommend a more rugged vehicle in case road conditions may worsen after a storm or just for ease of mind. You will leave your personal belongings (except a water bottle) in either your car or his van. The actual excursion itself is unimaginable. My best advice is to wear comfortable shoes which will be drenched, bring a water (the men will be carrying waterproof backpacks that you can place your water in once you enter the river) and listen closely to what they say, but do not worry. The reward of the trip is how involved the swimming and repelling is, you will not find a more complete adventure anywhere else for a person with zero repelling experience. Finally, be prepared for a brisk and mildly difficult 15 minute hike out of the waterfall basin back to your cars where you will be able to change clothes (in your cars, no convenient public utilities) and head on up the mountain out of neda. My wife is a meticulous planner and in all honesty a big chicken, but even she was finding it hard not to admit how much fun she was having doing things she never thought she could. Great team of guys, we'd go back in a heartbeat.

Une sortie canyoning en famille (la plus jeune ayant 12 ans) avec des super accompagnateurs, sympas et hyper pros. Le parcours qui mène aux chutes de la Neda est incroyable ! Une eau bleue entourée de végétation. Des bassins pour sauter et quelques rappels dont le dernier pour descendre la chute de 35m. Un régal ! With family we took a part in the Neda canyoning trip. Amazing views of nature and unreal entertainment. Descents through waterfalls left unforgettable impressions for the whole family. Our children are 10 years old, but the special attention of professional guides ensured their safety during the entire trip. Unique entertainment not only for adults, but also for children.

Die beiden Guides sind sehr herzlich, rücksichtsvoll und aufmerksam. Die Natur ist atemberaubend. Am Ende der Tour gab es einen kleinen Snack mit frischem Gemüse und traditionellem Brot. We hebben met het gezin de Canyoning activiteit in de Neda rivier en bij de Neda waterval gedaan. Het staat als een activiteit voor beginners. We hadden al eens een canyoning activiteit op Corsica gedaan, dus vroegen ons af of dit wel voldoende uitdagend zou zijn. Door het abseilen van de diverse kleinere en grotere watervallen (tot 35m), en ook sprongen vanaf de kleinste watervallen (tot zo'n 4-5m), bood het voldoende uitdaging! We hebben ons de hele tijd veilig gevoeld, de uitleg was duidelijk en we werden steeds goed gecontroleerd. Daarnaast was er ook nog eens een lekkere gezonde lunch verzorgd, met voor iedere groep apart verpakte, verse lekkernijen. Fotis en Michalis hebben ons een leuke, actieve dag bezorgd in het koude water van de rivier. Ze hebben de hele tijd foto's gemaakt en achteraf toegestuurd. Omdat we niet zeker wisten of reizen naar Griekenland zou lukken, hebben we de actviteit via mail gereserveerd, met betaling ter plaatse. We kregen uiteindelijk ook nog eens een betere alternatieve datum aangeboden, met een kleinere groep. Top flexibiliteit. De weg naar de verzamelplek was onverhard, met een behoorlijk hoogteverschil en stenen en kuilen. Voor onze huurauto prima te doen, maar voor campers lastig. Maar ook daar was een oplossing voor: de mensen met een camper werden opgehaald.

De canyoning was prachtig. Onze 4 kids zaten in een groep met 10 mensen in het totaal en 2 begeleiders. Eerst een grondige uitleg en nadien het water in. De rit met de auto ernaar toe is stevig maar zeker de moeite waard. Als ouders werd ons de weg getoond zodat we onze kinderen konden zien afdalen van de Neda waterval. Wel de big waterval opzoeken, iets hoger gelegen dan de eerste waterval.

We had a really nice canyoning activity! We did it with our 2 kids (8 & 11). The guides worked really professional and also brought good atmosphere and made everybody feeling comfortable during the descent between rocks and waterfalls. The environment is amazing. Take into consideration that the trip to reach the destination (Neda waterfalls) is a bit challenging here and there.

I’m amazed with all the activities, the views and the stuff! I went solo kayaking in Kardamyli joining an 8 people group, joined a 10 people group at Neda canyon and a 7 people group at Polylimnio! All services were great. The stuff was professional, the equipment was brand new and the food at the end great. Who doesn’t love being surrounded by good people while eating great food?? I totally suggest all of the three activities! Many thanks guys 🫶🏼

Neda Waterfalls is a beautiful place. The canyoning excursion was so much fun! Our teenage boys said it was the best thing we’ve done in Greece! The guides were wonderful. Fully prepared and organized, and they were a lot of fun to talk to and do this trip with!! Even the little picnic at the end was such a nice treat!

It was a beautiful river to descend with many fun moments and very doable turnip descents. It was my very first canyoning experience and she was super fun. Be careful to get there, follow Google Maps very carefully and check that you only drive on main roads (asphalted). Only the last 2.8km is unpaved

Sooo great. The guides Fonsi and Trifonas were very friendly, open-minded, motivating and supportive. We were 4 adults, 3 teenagers (16 years) and 3 kids (11-13 years) on our first canyoning adventure and it was an unforgettable experience in a positive sense. We were provided with all the equipment (neoprene pants, jacket and socks, as well as helmet and climbing harness), we only had to bring sneakers that could get wet. The guides gave us a briefing with a "dry run" and then we went into the canyon. The water was cold, but the adrenaline and the great impressions overshadowed that. Fonsi and Trifonas secured us and gave us tips and took photos and filmed our adventure. At the end there was a great Greek picnic with home-made bread, the best olives/olive oil and fine tomatoes. A thousand thanks for the adventure, the Swiss group

Absolutely best time! The scenery & nature is spectacular, the guides are phenomenal, and the experience is one of the best we've ever had. Communication before the event was timely and clear with good instructions. The guides were knowledgeable, experienced, fun, kind, and full of information. They took a ton of pictures and were very prompt getting them out to us. The water is cold upon entering but the wetsuit helps tremendously and you get used to it quickly. The canyon is beautiful and lush with breathtaking waterfalls (especially when you jump off them)! I can't say enough good things about this experience.

We did the canyoning trip at Neda waterfalls in August 23 whilst we were on holiday in Greece. Having 3 teenage boys, we wanted to do something fun and adventurous and we were not disappointed. It was a truly memorable experience! The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and made the the trip a real pleasure. Even though it might look scary, it is definitely suitable for the whole family. I was also amazing to be able to see a part of this beautiful country, which we would otherwise not have seen. Went with my family on a holiday to Greece and out of any excursion we could have chosen at our resort, we chose the more adventurous-sounding one. Let me say it was well worth the risk and every penny, both guides were brilliant and such fun to be around, the sights were beautiful and the physical side of it was not too challenging at all. We all enjoyed the trip thoroughly and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to do it too!

My wife and I did the trip with our two daughters (10 and 13 years old). Really great, just the right level of difficulty so that it is challenging and sometimes requires some effort. The two guides were great, very professional and had just the right feeling for safety but also the fun factor. Thank you very much and continued success!!!

Incredible natural scenery, awesome activity. I had never done anything like it before, it doesn't require any knowledge or stamina (just a good mood and an appetite to explore). The guides were excellent, they made us feel comfortable with the new equipment and confident with the canyon route

Easy access to the place where we had the meeting, correct information, everything on time without any delay, the equipment was in excellent condition, our drivers Phoebus and Fotis were super detailed, professional and very friendly😁!! The route was magical, not demanding, we had a great time 😁 you don't need to have experience on this, highly recommended to everyone!!

My wife and I participated in August 2023, on a Saturday morning. Our group was fairly large--about a dozen participants, plus the two guides--and the group was mixed. We had folks of various ages from the USA, Israel, the UK, and Greece. Everyone was easy to get along with and were great partners. The experience itself was incredible. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, the water was cold but refreshing, and we really enjoyed repelling down the waterfalls and jumping into some of the pools. Wading in the pool underneath the final waterfall was a real treat. Fotis and Trifonas were both incredibly kind and helpful--excellent, friendly guides. They were both good about trying to take as many pictures as possible, and they shared our pictures with us the same day. They also shared some bread, cheese, vegetables, and homemade olive oil with us at the end of the hike, which was a pleasant surprise. We used Google Maps to find the meeting point, and it was spot on. Just be aware that some of the roads leading to the meeting spot are steep and rocky, and there's really no fast way to drive there. Also be aware that the walk out of the park back to the parking area is a little strenuous, though you can buy refreshments at the park entrance. Overall, we would recommend this experience, and we would definitely do it again.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Fotis & Trifonas and met the other participants of our group. After some quick explanations we continued to the river and enjoyed the perfect adventure with jumps, descents, beautiful views and lots of fun. Fotis & Trifonas was always around to take photos, explain about the place and just gave everyone a good time.

Ideal to discover canyoning. Both thrilling and safe. Physical but just enough: people not used to exercice also participated. The landscape are spectacular and you get to see things no one else can see.

There are very few experiences these days where you escape the crowds, and feel truly lucky and inspired to be alone & at one, with nature. Add to that, the exhilaration of jumping off rock faces into plunge pools, and abseiling 10, 20, and 35 meters of rockface with water tumbling around you. It was amazing, and we really recommend it. We loved this trip, and it's thanks to Trifonas, Fotis and Alex. They are super professional and accredited, kind, and great fun and lots of smiles too. They can successfully encourage even nervous jumpers to make the leap !! You don't need any experience and get all the training you need, plus a super tasty, authentic local picnic at the end. Make sure to look up, and back, as the canyon is a really mesmerising place !!!

Absolutely loved this. Our family of four adults, with one of us nervous about putting our head under water, had a cracker of a time. Our guides, Fotis and Alex were warm and welcoming, providing all of the information, and assistance that was needed throughout. The scenery was magnificent, crystal clear waters, so refreshingly cold during a Greek heatwave. It is my first review on trip advisor, usually, I don't write a review, but Fotis and Christos were absolutely amazing and they deserve it. We are a family of four, with two teens. From the first moment, Fotis and Chris were welcoming and made all of us feel comfortable. The canyoning is real nice and the Neda gorge is beautiful. It is 3 hours of sliding, jumping, and rappelling. They make us laugh, and feel that we are in good hands. In the end, they also offer a nice picnic with nice stories. Don't hesitate to book it, it will be the highlight of your trip!

Superb surroundings with great guides! Canyoning is very doable and yet challenging with the abseiling. We did this with a child of 10 and 12 The environment is really fantastic!

Canyoning in the gorge of Neda is a unique experience that will remain unforgettable and we recommend everyone to try it. The images of nature that the route offers are magical. The gorge runs running water that forms natural foothills and waterfalls offering the possibility for slopes, jumps and some rapels. However, crossing the canyon is easy and extremely fun under the guidance of our experienced and well-trained guides. Of course, it is worth noting that after crossing the canyon, there follows a picnic on the banks of the river with the whole team, where you have the opportunity to taste the most delicious olive oil from the olive groves of one of the drivers, while listening to the bright sound of the river and enjoying the landscape and the imposing rock to create a natural shadow. Light and Tryphon (our guides from Explore Messinia) are amazing and thank you very much for everything.

We arrived at a family mall (5 people), Poutis and Chris welcomed us with a smile and joy. The route was amazing, they were very nice and professional and took special care of our 10-year-old little daughter. It was an amazing experience!

A canyoning trip with the family (the youngest being 12 years old) with great escorts, friendly and hyper pros. The route to the Neda Falls is incredible! Blue water surrounded by vegetation. Ponds to jump and some reminders including the last to descend the 35m fall. A treat! We ended our walk with a delicious picnic by the water. This was my first Canoyning-Tour und it was marvellous. We had two kind, very qualified and english speaking guides, who instructed us very professional and accompanied us through the gorge. The landscape around the Neda-gorge is very lovely, impressive and a wonderful alternative after a few days on the beach. I think it is a really amazing adventure for families or for couples.

We had a wonderful day in the Neda river with our family of four (kids 12 and 15) and guided by Fotis and Trifonas. They really took their time to explain safe canyoning and displayed not only canyoning expertise but also a great joy and love for the magnificent environment, Greek food (the picnic) and the Greek myths accompanied with this tour. The canyoning itself was outstanding with a beautiful river, great jumps and fantastic descents (abseiling) through waterfalls.
